I would love for the world to be a place where everyone can thrive no matter what their gender, religion, age or sexuality is. A world without discrimination where there is true equality. Until then I am a proud intersectional feminist!

colour & textureI love colour and texture. My Nana (Grandmother) was an incredible homemaker and crafter. I remember sitting in the living room with her and watching her knit the most incredible garments. She made me a knitted skirt and jumper in deep purple. The yarn was so soft and the purple - deep and rich. I am so grateful that she shared her joy of crafting with me.
Slow fashion is best. Make or buy from people who care about the planet and other people or buy second hand. If it is a great piece it will be timeless! I particularly love Australian designers because they are not afraid of colour. |
artistic expression
I'm a middle-aged woman who has finally realised that my body is beautiful. I want everyday to be a celebration of women of all shapes and sizes. I refuse to be invisible or marginalised because of my age and gender.
Getting dressed in the morning is fun... and definitely a form of artistic expression. When I was growing up my mother owned a "vintage" store for awhile and I used to get to go through her stock before it was put out into the shop. I love opportunity shopping. It was during those years that I started to play with putting outfits together. Play is definitely the key to putting together a great outfit.
